Urchystones are a disease that is prone to dogs, especially for middle-aged and elderly dogs. Dogs suffering from urinary stones will suffer tremendous pain. Even if the stone is removed through surgery, the potential for recurrence will always exist. In extreme cases, even every six months to one year, the newly grown stones need to be removed from the new surgery.

The urinary system of dogs is similar to that of humans and consists of kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra. Stones in these tissues or organs can be called urinary stones. There are still some details of the causes of urinary stone formation that have not been thoroughly studied, but unbalanced mineral composition in food, too little water drinking, endocrine or metabolic abnormalities, and urinary tract infections can all be triggered.

According to statistics, at least 3 of every 100 dogs who visit pet hospitals only come from urinary stones. It can be seen that this is a very common type of disease.

The components of urinary stones are diverse, and the common ones include magnesium ammonia phosphate, calcium oxalate, etc. Therefore, if you do not know the type of urinary stones, blindly adjusting the pH of dogs' feeding through homemade food, it is likely to have the opposite effect.

If you can't understand, simply think about the toilet we use. If you don't rinse after each urine, ugly urine stains will soon form. Although the principles are different, this can also be used to describe the formation of urinary stones.
