Qualcomm launches a new generation of industrial-grade processors, the Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ-X series, designed for devices such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), advanced human-machine interfaces (HMIs), edge controllers, industrial touch computers and embedded computers. Currently, leading OEMs such as Advantech, Congatec, Kontron, NEXCOM, Portwell, Tria and SECO have adopted the IQ-X series and are expected to launch commercial devices in the coming months.
Qualcomm pointed out that IQ-X is the first industrial-grade computer processor designed to accelerate smart manufacturing. It is suitable for devices such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial touch computers and edge controllers, and supports Windows systems.
Dragonwing IQ-X series cores are equipped with Qualcomm Oryon CPU, built using 4nm process technology, providing scalable configurations of 8 to 12 high-performance cores, and AI computing performance of up to 45 TOPS. Dragonwing IQ-X series supports industrial temperature range (-40°C to 105°C) and is suitable for harsh and harsh environments.
This product adopts a rugged package that can operate stably in harsh environments and provides extensive peripheral support. It can be easily integrated into various industrial equipment and can be flexibly deployed in various application scenarios. In addition, the IQ-X series processors also have powerful multimedia processing capabilities and adopt an energy-saving design.

Dragonwing IQ-X series supports industry-standard embedded computer-on-module (COM) module dimensions, can directly replace existing carrier boards, and comes with an evaluation kit, providing scalable solutions for various industrial fields. This series of products is widely compatible with standard hardware peripherals and bridge chips commonly used in the industry, helping to improve customer experience.
