Verona Football Club announced that defender Amel Bella Cotchap will be introduced on loan from Southampton Football Club, with a buyout option.

Bella Cotchap was born in Paris on December 11, 2001. He has German nationality and is a right-footed central defender. He grew up in youth training camps in Bochengladbach, Ontlat and Duisburg, and joined the Bochum Youth Team in 2017. In 2019, he was promoted to the first team and made his first start in the league against Aue. In the 2020/21 season, he helped the team win the Bundesliga championship and advance to the Bundesliga.

After 74 appearances for Bochum and scored 1 goal, Bella Cochap transferred to Southampton in 2022, representing the team in 26 games in the Premier League, FA Cup and British Copa League. He was then loaned to Eindhoven, where he made his Champions League debut and won the 2023/24 Eredivisie championship with the team. After returning to Southampton, he made five appearances in all competitions last season.

Bella Kotchap once represented the German national team from U18 to U21 for all ages. On September 15, 2022, he was called up by head coach Flick to participate in the UEFA Nations League match and made his national team debut against England, which ended up with a 3-3 draw. In November of the same year, he was selected for the German team's roster to compete in the Qatar World Cup.

Verona Football Club warmly welcomes Cote Chap's joining and wishes him personal and team success in the team.
