Manchester United legend Gary Neville evaluated Arsenal's lineup depth in a podcast and pointedly pointed out Liverpool's shortcomings at the full-back position.
Q: How do you evaluate the strength of Arsenal’s lineup?
Neville: When I watched Arsenal play Atletico Madrid, I saw Skelly. Obviously, Timber comes in, you have Ben White and Calafiore.
Q: How do you compare Arsenal and Liverpool full-backs?
Neville: I think all Arsenal's full-backs are better than Liverpool's, all four, which is a big problem for Liverpool. Timber is the best full-back in the league right now.
Q: Why do you think so highly of Timber?
Neville: I think Timber almost, in my mind, I would classify him as... you know that guy who plays for Real Madrid? Carvajal. For me, he is the best. I think Timber is the closest player that I've seen right now, both offensively and defensively, in terms of being able to do a good job offensively and absolutely shutting down everything on his side of the ball.
