What is dry cleaning: Dry cleaning means washing clothes without water. It only uses solvent to remove oil or stains. Since the solvent contains almost no moisture, it is called dry cleaning. Because some clothing should not be washed with a washing machine, it can only be used for dry cleaning.
1. Wool clothing: Because many parts of wool clothing are hand-sewn, and the lining cloth is mostly linen fabric, it rotates and rolls in the washing machine, which will reduce the fastness of the clothing material and will also deform due to the water absorption of the fabric and the lining cloth.
2. Silk clothing: Because the silk weaving is thin in quality, it is prone to blemish or pompon on the surface after friction. Washing with a washing machine will not only deform and fade silk clothes, but also shorten the life of clothes. The basic steps of
dry cleaning are:
1. Pretreatment, that is, stain removal treatment. It is artificial additives to pre-treat severely contaminated dirt and stains that are insoluble in dry cleaning solvents (if juice, nail polish, paint, ink, etc.).
2. Main wash. Put the pretreated clothes into a dry cleaning machine, wash thoroughly with a dry cleaning solvent and throw (bake) dry.
3. Post-treatment, the main purpose is to remove residual dry cleaning solvents in clothing and iron and plastic surgery.
Hand washing is more harmful to clothes than machine washing.
Generally speaking, suits, tie, wool sweater, cashmere coat, down duvet, down jacket, blanket, leather jacket, leather gloves, suede leather jacket, fur coat, fur collar, fur leather, etc., as well as suits that office workers often wear, need to be dry cleaned. If conditions permit, you can also send them to a dry cleaning shop with special sterilization for sterilization and dry cleaning. Work clothing in the engineering industry suffers from severe oil and grease contamination, and they are usually all cotton fabrics. In order to avoid shrinkage problems caused by ordinary washing, dry cleaning should also be used.
There are also linen fabrics that are very shrinking, and clothes that are prone to fading need to be dry cleaned. Precious and exquisite wool clothing is mainly dry cleaning. Washing water can easily damage the texture and wool feel of the clothing, and may also cause distortion or color. If you really need to wash water, it is better to keep the temperature of the washing liquid at around 40 degrees Celsius. Chemical fiber fabrics such as polyester, nylon, acrylic, vinylon, chloropropylene and polypropylene usually have good physical and mechanical properties, so it is enough to use a washing machine to wash.
Candle velvet clothes can be washed with water, but they should not be knocked with a washboard or stick, and they should not be brushed with a hard bristle brush.
