16 constituent stocks in the Sea Index rose at the opening, with Urban Development (CDL) rising the largest, starting at 3.41% to 5.76 yuan; Jardines Holdings (JMH) opened for the second consecutive day, rising 2.62% to US$52.8 (about S$67.83), and the remaining rising stocks rose between 0.13% and 0.91%.

Thai Beverage opened with the biggest drop, falling 1.05% to 0.47 yuan; other falling stocks fell between 0.15% to 1.05%.
