According to the Times, Nottingham Forest will play away against Newcastle United this Sunday, and if the performance is poor and the results are not ideal, club executives may reassess the position of coach Postkoglu during international match days.

Postkoglu coached Nottingham Forest for only six games but is already under pressure as the team suffered four losses and two draws in those six games, causing them to slip to 17th in the Premier League and be eliminated in the League Cup.

On Thursday night, Nottingham Forest lost 2-3 to Zhongjitland at home, continuing a bad start. Fans expressed dissatisfaction with the 60-year-old Australian coach, starting to yell "You're going to be out tomorrow" just 23 days after he took office, while club owner Marinakis witnessed it in the stands.

The match against Newcastle was followed by international match day, which gave senior officials time to reflect on his performance in one month. During this period, Postkoglu led the team to only score 1 point in the league, lost to the Championship team Swansea in the League Cup, drew away with Real Betis in the UEFA Cup, and then lost to Sino-Jetland.

Marinakis has previously shown no hesitation about firing the coach. For example, in 2022, Carlos Colberon was fired after only coaching the Greek team Olympiacos in 11 games.

Nottingham Forest has not won the league since the first day of the season. But the club understands that Postkogru has not had much time to train with the players since taking over Nuno last month and he is trying to turn the team's style into a more aggressive style of play. After

International match day, Nottingham Forest will face Chelsea at home, then against Porto in the UEFA Cup, followed by a away challenge to Bournemouth.
