Manchester United defender De Ligt has performed very steadily this season. He is also the only player on the team who has played every minute of the Premier League game so far this season. In an interview, the Dutch defender talked about the key factors in his rebound.

De Ligt said: "I am a person who likes to think, especially when I receive a lot of criticism, when I will do something different than usual. My mentality has changed from avoiding making mistakes to doing everything as well as possible. I have now reached an age where I have understood what works for me and what does not." De Ligt was re-elected to the Dutch national team and admitted that he was disappointed to be excluded from the national team squad by Koeman last month. He also knows that the Dutch team's defense is full of strong players, including Van Dijk, Van der Ven, Timber, etc.

De Ligt said: "Of course, missing the national team will affect you. But I will immediately think 'keep going'. I am used to a lot of things in football, so I would not say that decision is harsh.

"I will try to look at myself and then insist on being myself. By continuing on a good trajectory this season, I'm now getting called up again. Yes, there is a lot of competition in the Dutch defence, so I need to be at my best to get into the squad. "
