According to the BBC, Chelsea midfielder Ugo Chuku has received loan inquiries from clubs such as Valencia and Hamburg, but loans within the Premier League are still the most likely option, and more clubs are paying close attention to his situation.

The season spent last season in Southampton, Ugochuku made 31 appearances and started nine games in the last 10 league games, highlighting Ugochuku's physical fitness makes him suitable for the Premier League. He transferred from Rennes to Chelsea in 2023 for £23.2 million.

However, Chelsea is currently more inclined to sell Ugochuku, especially if it attracts a considerable bidder.

Chelsea is also cautious about overseas loans, because under the new regulations set by FIFA in 2024, all clubs are allowed to make only six such (overseas) loan transactions.

Therefore, selling is the preferred option, domestic lending is the second choice, while overseas lending can only be approved if neither of the first two plans are implemented in the later stage of the transfer window.

Like Dortmund's rental player Chuk Umeka, as well as players who have not participated in the Club World Cup, including Rahim Sterling, Chilwell, Felix, Vega, Broya and Petrovic are all in a similar situation.
