What should I do if my puppy has wounds on its body? Pets are naturally active and will inevitably get injured. When a dog is injured, do you know how to treat the dog’s wound? How should you deal with wounds on your dog? We should look at it according to the situation, and I will tell you about it below.

1. Clean the wound

After a dog is injured at home, it will definitely scream in pain. The scavenger must first calm the pet dog's emotions, and then clean the wound. You can first rinse the stains on the surface of the dog's wound with saline. If there is something on the dog's wound, gently take it out with tweezers. If the dog's hair is too long, trim it slightly. Then put a muzzle on the pet dog and fix the leash. Before doing this, it is best to find someone to help hold down the pet dog's body to prevent the pet dog from biting the owner due to pain when the wound is disinfected.

2. Bandaging and care

After the wound is disinfected, the doctor can sprinkle styptic powder on the wound and then wrap it with gauze to avoid further injury. The post-care of pet dog wounds is also very important. The scavenger needs to check the healing status of pet dog wounds every day to see if there is any infection or inflammation. It is necessary to check for several days in a row, repeat the above operations 2-3 times a day, and change the gauze regularly to keep the pet dog's wound clean and dry, which will help the wound heal. If there is no obvious exudate from the wound, the number of gauze changes can be appropriately reduced.

3. Nutritional supplement

During the period when the pet dog is recuperating, the dog owner should prepare some nutritious food for the pet dog, and also mix it with some fresh fruits and vegetables to achieve a balanced nutritional effect and promote the growth of new granulations. In addition, the pet dog should not be allowed to go up and down the stairs frequently, and should go in and out of the kitchen and toilet less often to avoid secondary injury or infection and inflammation of the pet dog's wound, which will delay healing.
