Cats are food-loving animals that can eat anything. However, giving cats food requires special attention, especially human food, as they can cause gastrointestinal discomfort in cats and even life-threatening consequences. However, sometimes we accidentally let cats eat human food. For example, one afternoon, you accidentally put the cake on the table and did not notice the cat next to it in time. As a result, it took the opportunity to steal a piece of cake. After a while, you find that the cat is starting to have diarrhea. What should you do in this case?

1. Pause cat food. The cat should be stopped immediately, including water, which can reduce the burden on the gastrointestinal tract. 2. Give the cat clean water. Clean water can help the cat keep its body hydrated and prevent dehydration. Clean water should be placed in an easy-to-reach place and keep the water in sufficient amount. 3. Observe the cat's symptoms. Observe the cat's symptoms to see if the diarrhea is severe and whether it is accompanied by symptoms such as nausea and vomiting. If symptoms are previously obvious, you need to contact your veterinarian immediately for professional treatment. 4. Fasting for a period of time You can fast the cat for a period of time at this time, and do not take too long, just 4-6 hours. This will allow the cat's gastrointestinal tract to be released and restored. The fasting time must be carefully controlled and you should pay attention to giving the cat an appropriate amount of food. 5. Diet recovery. Cats should gradually recover their diet, slowly increase the amount of food, starting with soft and easy-to-digest foods, such as rice in the kitchen. 6. Strengthen cats’ resistance Resistance is the basic guarantee for humans and cats to fight against diseases. During the process of self-healing of food in cats, we can increase the beneficial bacteria in their diet to enhance their intestinal resistance. You can use some daily vitamins and probiotics to strengthen your resistance.

Generally speaking, giving cats human food is a dangerous behavior. If you notice a cat's stomach upset, especially if you're stuck, you must stop letting your cat eat anything immediately and seek help from a professional veterinarian. In addition, you must pay attention to the cat's diet and pay more attention to the cat's nutritional needs, rather than simply letting it eat our ordinary food. Only by putting the diet of caring for cats first can we allow them to truly enjoy a healthy and happy life.
