Because chickens, ducks, etc. are all birds, and they have some common characteristics with birds, that is, their bones are thin and hollow, which is the result of the natural selection of birds to reduce the weight of their bodies. When a dog bites a slender chicken bone such as chicken wings and chicken legs, the cross section can easily become a pointed incline, and it is easy to hurt the mouth when it is in the mouth.
There is also a type of chicken bone that is not suitable for pet dogs to eat, which is the bones on the chicken neck, because that type of bone is short and thick. For larger dogs, it is easy to swallow the entire bones on the chicken neck. If you swallow it, the dog will be unable to digest it. If you can't swallow it, it will easily get stuck in the esophagus. Therefore, a small amount of chicken bones such as chicken ribs can still be eaten, but it is better not to eat the two types of chicken bones mentioned above.
It is not good for dogs to eat fish bones and chicken bones because these two types of bones are relatively thorny. The dog's eating habit is to swallow it without chewing it, so it will get stuck, and even damage the stomach and intestines, and even suffocate and die of death. Therefore, don’t give dogs fish bones, chicken bones and larger bones.
Foods that dogs must not eat
1: Chicken bones: They cannot be eaten because the empty structure is very easy to bite, which will scratch the esophagus or stomach, causing hemorrhagic diarrhea.
2: Chocolate: It is fatal, this is absolutely not edible.
3: Onions and green onions: If you cannot eat them, it will cause hemolytic anemia.
4: Other bones and fish: To be fair, it can be eaten, but the bones must be a whole piece of large bones, or cook them in a pressure cooker until they are sore. The owner must carefully remove all the thorns when eating the fish.
