Can dogs eat grapefruit? In fact, we generally don’t recommend dogs eat grapefruit. Grapefruit contains toxic substances, such as strychnine, which can cause inflammation of the dog's gastrointestinal tract, causing diarrhea, vomiting and other symptoms. In addition, it may cause damage to the dog's liver and kidneys, and even cause the dog's death.

Dogs cannot eat grapefruit, because grapefruit is an acidic fruit. If you feed grapefruit to your dog, it may cause neurological disease or dermatitis, and may also irritate the dog's gastrointestinal tract, causing vomiting, diarrhea, etc. Therefore, it is best not to feed grapefruit to your dog to avoid affecting the dog's health.

In addition to grapefruit, other fruits such as oranges and grapes cannot be given to dogs, and fruit cores cannot be given to dogs, otherwise they may easily cause kidney failure. Try to give your dog as little miscellaneous food as possible, just feed it dog food and some meat.
